Fundraising Co-ordinator

Purpose

To organise or as part of a sub group to conceive ideas for and coordinate fund raising events, and to identify opportunities for fund raising through grant applications, sponsorships etc. Agree with Committee what equipment, training or other items are required and included in an application.

Main Functions and Duties

  • Establish and maintain sub group
  • Identify fundraising opportunities
  • Coordinate any events; roles and responsibilities
  • Identify what items/equipment are required
  • Book any facilities required for events or activities
  • Make enquires for bag packing opportunities
  • Promote ‘Easy Fund Raising’
  • Keep records of what applied for and when
  • Write thanks you letters/emails where necessary
  • Draft press release where appropriate

Requirements

  • To have a knowledge of fundraising and sponsorship
  • To liaise with Club Treasurer on income received and costing of events
  • To ensure accurate records are kept
  • To report to Club Committee on activities
  • Be a member of Scottish Swimming
  • Sign and adhere to the Club’s Volunteer Code of Conduct

 

Training and Support

  • Support of the Club Committee
  • Support of fundraising group
  • Safeguarding & Protecting Children Workshop (renewable every 3 years)
