A total of 24 BASC swimmers attended the LDD Development Meet at the Xcite Centre, Whitburn on Sunday 17th January. This was Improvers and Bronze squads first meet since the New Year, and some of the younger swimmers from Developers had also been invited.

Tesco Bo’ness Bag Packing – Sat 27th Feb

BASC bag packers managed to raise £517.45 on Saturday at the Bo’ness Tesco store. 18 volunteers were split over 4 tills, each working one 2 hr slot between 10am and 4pm.

Congratulations to Gold squad swimmers Liam Murphy, Alicia Evans and Douglas Calder upon securing Scottish National Age Group Championship 2016 times!

Good fun at 10-pin Bowling evening

Many thanks to Ellen Kilgour for organizing what turned out to be a really good evening’s 10-pin bowling.

Twelve BASC swimmers from across Bronze, Silver and Gold squads swam over the weekend at the Ren96 meet at the Linwood Sports Hub. It was a very successful meet for BASC with a total of 18 medal places and some very impressive PB’s being set.

Another multi-squad turn out at this event with 20 swimmers competing from Developer to Gold squads, cheering their teammates on to win a clutch of medals and set new PB’s. BASC swimmers won a total of 23 medals; with 5 Golds, 11 Silver and 7 Bronze medals.

Eight Bo’ness ASC swimmers were among the thirty-three athletes representing FIRST at the Scottish National Age Group Championships (SNAGs) at Glasgow’s Tollcross International Swimming Centre, held over 5 days from Wed 30th March through to Sunday 3rd April.

InCAS Distance Meet – 14th & 15th May

A very freindly InCAS (Inverkeithing Competitive Amateur Swimmers) Distance Meet was held over the weekend of 14th May at the Carnegie Leisure Centre, Dunfermline. BASC had 10 swimmers attending from Silver and Gold squads with swimmers, coaches and parents alike enjoying the well organized event. All the swimmers put in great individual efforts and together each contributed significantly towards a great overall team performance.

BASC had another very successful performance with 12 swimmers attending the Swim West Lothian (SWL) IM Tough Meet over the weekend of 20th – 22nd May at the Xcite Centre in Bathgate. BASC team members won a total of 15 medals over the weekend!
