Santa Dash

Unfortunately, the charity Santa Dash Fun Run had to be cancelled in December due to the weather conditions. For all those who have collected money that will go to Strathcarron Hospice and to our club, we are awaiting confirmation on the new date when it will go ahead? Maybe, it may be reinvented as the 1km Easter Bunny Run/Hop? We will forward any information once available.

Special thanks

A big thank you to Valentina Lawless who has kindly donated a brand-new backstroke starting block that will be used by all. This will help all swimmers who are competing and wish to improve their start technique.

A big thank you to Marie Willoughby who stepped down from the role of the SwimShop manager. We would like to thank Morven Fisher and Gillian Black for volunteering to take over as SwimShop Managers.

Also, we are happy to announce that the Link Group, one of Scotland’s largest social landlords, has agreed to sponsor Bo`ness ASC in 2019.

They have kindly donated nearly £3000 that will go towards sustaining the club financially and provide essential equipment to ensure our athletes keep improving. You will also start to see the Link logo on our new coaching and swimmers’ tops. Please see our very own club male model Kevin Cuthill (and new Coach) fresh from the Milan Catwalk along with Rhea Griffiths sporting the latest “look”!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

A final note, Bo`ness ASC runs solely on the personal time given up by parents and guardians through the committee or volunteering. Without their help, the club would cease to exist and our children would not be able to progress as a swimmer and an athlete.

This is a plea to all that if you have any spare time to give to the our children within the Club, please make yourself known. We are always in need of more people on the committee (remember, the more we have the less work/time is required!) and/or you just want to help the coach’s poolside, this again is a great help. And you never know, you may enjoy it rather than just sitting and watching!
